Speed run of Super Mario Bros. done on April 10 2007. Available in five versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: I believe that this may be a perfect time by Speeddemosarchive's timing of Super Mario Bros. 1. First off, I'd like to thank my brother for helping me figure out a faster way of beating the game. If it weren't for him, a run like this probably wouldn't have been seen for a long while. I also want to thank those who encouraged me... favoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 41 reviews ) Topics: Mario: Super Mario Bros., NES

Timing note: Game's timer is referenced at its last visible point, then real time from then to final damage numbers appearing is added. Resulting time is rounded up to the next whole minute since the game timer could've have been :59 seconds at the last visible moment. Bad Mojo is a part FMV, part 2-D puzzle, game that was originally released back in 1996. Loosely based on The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, the game puts the player into the role of a common cockroach and tasks them with making it through a series of household areas while trying to avoid the various traps and hazards they contain. Although the game is pretty short (It can be beaten in about an hour if you know where to go) it sold well enough when it first came out to warrant a re-release in... Speed run of Super Mario Bros. done on October 9 2004. Available in normal and high quality. Author's comments: This is the cleanest, best looking SMB run I've done, although some levels can be finished slightly faster with better tactics so I estimate that I could do better by five to seven tenths overall. Easily the best part is in 8-3 with the Hammer Bros (I was very surprised I didn't die). Enjoy :) favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 1 reviews ) Topics: Mario, NES

So, what do you suppose you get when you cross Resident Evil 4, Shenmue, and Twin Peaks? The answer took the form of a game released in February of 2010; a low budget survival horror game from a small Japanese studio. Originally known as Rainy Woods in 2007, and given the name Red Seeds Profile upon release in Japan, the version of the game released in America was called Deadly Premonition. Developed by Access Games, and headed up by game director Hidetaka Suehiro (better known as SWERY),... favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 1 reviews ) Topics: let's play, supergreatfriend, Deadly Premonition
Low% "secret world assisted" speed run of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes in 33 segments, completed on February 25 2005. Author's comments: This is a 20% "out-of-bounds" run of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, in which I skip two "essential" items; the echo visor and the cobalt translator (and all non-essential items). In a nutshell, it was a quick and dirty experiment to see whether 20% could be made to work under speed conditions. While I wanted the run to be reasonably tight,... Author's comments: Credits: Nate - For capturing the run from VHS Radix - For hosting the run mike89 - His Banjo Tooie 100% Speed Guide was a great starting point for strategizing my own routes, and had a few tricks that I probably wouldn't have thought of myself (such as getting the grenade eggs early to defeat... favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 3 reviews ) Topics: Banjo Kazooie, Nintendo 64
Speed run of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 37 segments, completed on May 13 2005. Available in low and normal quality. Author's comments: Credits first - I referred quite a lot to Tirdun's walkthough from gamefaqs, and also used the Java San Andreas Map a lot to locate weapons/armour. Speed run of Final Fantasy V on done on January 4 2006. Available in four versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high/insane quality. Author's comments: The fifth game of the Final Fantasy series was not released in the US until its Playstation remake, which is the version you see here. It is nonetheless a spectacular game, featuring a job system quite like the one in Final Fantasy: Tactics. I came across this game while looking at fighting games here on YouTube and I LOVE the pixel art. So many frames of animation and the game is fast and smooth. Very easy combo system and everything is so funny and cute :) I thought the version I saw here on YouTube was hacked or something as it had nude pictures and stuff, but downloaded it anyway as I love the combo stuff and the funniness, but turned out this game IS like this originally. So after I downloaded it and saw these cool pictures, I...

The game that started it all. I don't know much about the plot, but who plays fighting and shmups for the plot anyway? For the uninformed: the Darius series is known for its fishy bosses (pun may or may not be intended :3), awesome music, and balls-busting difficulty, especially Darius Gaiden and G-Darius (the best one in mu opinion). This game is pretty unique because it uses three screens. Gameplay thingy: Had thoughts of going down the lower path and then go to Zone Z (there are multiple...
Arguably the greatest adventure of Rayman, released first on the Nintendo 64. This version have poorer graphics and features a bonus game at the end of each level. I've collected all the cages and lums, even the secret 1000th lum (at 03:40:21), which the game didn't count for some reason. You don't get any extras if you collect them all anyway. Also in the rush I didn't credited myself (I put AAA thinking it's just a save file), because I didn't think the game would thank me at the end credits,...

Speed run of Chrono Trigger in 34 segments completed on October 26 2005. Timing note: uses game timer at last seen moment in final part plus remaining real time until final damage on Lavos. Author's comments: This is by far my most polished run -- over a month in the making and numerous test runs and multiple strategies attempted, resulting in a final run that dips below the five hour mark. "I always wanted a thing called tuna sashimi." And now I know the origin of this phrase. Holy crap English in a Japanese game! There will be ear rape. Adjust your speakers/'phones/whatever you use to listen to audio. The sequel to the first fishy shmup game...and a little different from all the other Darius games. Donkey Kong 64 is a platformer/collectathon that was released by Rareware for the N64 on Halloween, 1999. It was later rereleased on 12/06/99 packaged with an N64 Expansion Pak, which does all sorts of technical stuff to make the game look really nice. At least, by N64 standards.
